Caretaker – Combe Martin School – £13.26 per hour – 20 hours per week – Permanent – 52 weeks per annum
Combe Martin Primary School is seeking a reliable, proactive and friendly Caretaker to join our school community.

The Caretaker will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the school site, including:
• Ensuring the building and grounds are safe, secure and well-presented
• Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs and DIY tasks
• Managing cleaning standards and supporting the cleaning team where needed
• Overseeing site security, including opening/locking up
• Monitoring health & safety requirements (checks, records and compliance tasks)
• Liaising with contractors and supporting school staff with premises needs
We are looking for someone who:
• Is practical, organised and takes initiative
• Has strong DIY/maintenance skills
• Is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness
• Can build positive relationships with staff, pupils and the community
• Is flexible and able to respond to the day-to-day needs of a busy school
Experience in a similar role would be beneficial, but not essential — training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
